Auto-Responders
Auto-Responders are programs that automatically send e-mails; pre-written by you and saved in a data base on your auto-responders server. They in turn send the relevant (auto-responder) email in response to e-mails received by the, “Auto-Responder,” from people using your, capture page requesting information. It is also used to send out, “news letters,” and other information, to clients that have signed up to receive the news letters.
There are auto-responder programs that you buy and run yourself and there are companies that you pay to do it for you. Mixed in with these are, Free auto-responder programs that you run yourself and companies that will do it for Free. The choice is yours.
The choice of which type of auto-responder, Free or Paid, is entirely down to you and, basically depends on your budget and Free auto-responders are free, because they advertise other businesses on your messages to your clients.
One aspect to consider is how professional you want to present yourself to others. The more professional you appear to be, the more likely you are to get others to sign up. However, initially always keep in mind the budget consideration and, do you really want to give competitors free advertising on your auto-responder.
Another aspect that you may like to consider is, are these free auto-responders really free? If you look on the net you will see advertisements and web pages offering free auto-responder, with no advertising on your mail. Let’s get real here, these companies have to make money some how or they will go out of business.
Have you ever seen advertisements where it says, “Buy 1,000 or 10,000 pre-qualified leads for $10? OK, you may not Spam, your clients, but if after signing up with you, your clients get hit with thousands of spam emails, it is not going to take them long to realise that the spam emails started soon after signing up with you.
Remember, you are a professional and you will give a commitment to your "sign-ups," that you will NOT, sell, rent, divulge or in way pass on their details to a third party. So, give it a lot of thought before you make your choice, you do not want to get Black-listed or get a reputation for being a spammer, and guess what? You will not be the one doing the spamming.
YMLP (Your Mailing List Provider). At the moment I am using YMLP for no other reason than I was introduced to it by a friend and I always like to check programs out before putting them up on my website
It is easy to use and you have basically all the options that other auto-responders offer. Their only draw back as far as I can see is that they do not offer telephone or live chat support. However, I have tried their “support ticket” and their response was well within the hour with clear and concise instructions.
If you live within the European community their VAT charges are a bit on the hefty side, but such is life, they have to charge it.
When you sign up you get a “test” account which you can practice on before signing up for either a, Free account, Professional or Professional + .
It is worth while checking them out as you never know; it may be to your liking.
Get-Response auto-responder. They offer, Free telephone support, Free chat line support, their customer support staff are very amenable and very patient. They give you a comprehensive bonus package that you can down load, that you will find very useful once you get up and running. They are competitively priced and, you get a lot for your money including, the first month Free.
aWeber is another company that has an excellent reputation. I have many friends and colleagues that use their services and have no complaints. You may find that what they have to offer is more suited to you. Do your own due diligence and then make an informed decision.
Again sign up for all of the affiliate programs that aWeber offer. You may only sell one or two a month to start with, but you are in this for the long haul, and all these sales add up at the end of the year, and the, 10%, 16% or 30% commission, (passive income,) will make a difference to your bottom line.
