Internet Browsers
There many browsers and search engines available for you to use and basically it is down to personal preference or what you are used to.
Personally I liked Navigator 9 as I find it very easy to use and clean and based on the Mozilla Fire Fox concept. I do not have a specific home page on my browser, like AOL, MSN, Yahoo, etc; I just use a blank home page.
Unfortunately Navigator 9 is no longer supported so there are no more security up-dates, so I will be sad when I have to stop using it.
However, I use Mozilla Fire-Fox for business purposes. This browser is a lot more secure and is up-dated on a regular basis and, does not suffer from annoying, “pop-ups, pop-unders’,” or video adverts that eat up you broadband width, that you get with MSN and AOL.
For the type of business that we are in, I would suggest that you use Fire fox when accessing your business related web sites. If you do not already have it you can go here and down load the latest version.
Also have a look at Thunder Bird which is an alternative to Microsoft’s, Outlook.
The good thing about Mozilla is that it has lots of add on features that allow you to customise Fire Fox the way that you want it. If there is a feature that you do not want, then don’t download it? Plus, unlike Microsoft products if you do not want it, you do not get annoying and irritating little pop ups reminding you that you have not down loaded it.
And, you do not have to worry about incompatibility with your operating system; just download the correct version for your system. |
